Community Rules

Welcome to Romance of Five Kingdoms. These rules keep the game fair, the fiction immersive, and the community safe. Please read them before you play.

You Must Be 18 or Older

You must be at least 18 years old to play Romance of Five Kingdoms. By creating an account you confirm that you meet this requirement. Accounts found to belong to minors will be closed.

One Account Per Person

Each player gets a single account. Do not create alternate accounts to evade limits, gain extra characters, or interact with yourself. If you need to retire or rename a character, contact staff.

Remain In Character at All Times

When you are in the game world, you are your character. Stay in character (IC) in public rooms and channels. Use the dedicated OOC channels and private OOC tools if you need to step out of fiction.

Do Not Use OOC Information ICly

Things you learn out-of-character (from other players, Discord, staff conversations, the wiki, or any other external source) do not belong to your character. Act only on what your character could plausibly know from in-game experience.

No Harassment, Hate Speech, or Slurs

Do not harass or abuse anyone out-of-character. Hate speech and slurs of any kind are never permitted in any OOC communication, including channels, private messages, memos, tickets, or external forums associated with the game. Treat everyone with basic respect.

Protect Yourself

Make every effort to protect yourself as a player. If another player is unpleasant, harassing, or simply someone you do not want to interact with, use the tools the game gives you. permissions blocks can block someone from DMing you, OOCing at you, perceiving you, or interacting with you at all. Staff will support you in using these tools; you do not owe anyone access to you.

No Powers You Do Not Actually Have

Do not roleplay having abilities, authority, ranks, possessions, or knowledge that your character has not earned in-game. Do not roleplay around the game's code or established lore to claim outcomes the systems do not support. If your character cannot do something mechanically, your character cannot do it in fiction.

No Hidden Information in Roleplay

Do not include details in your roleplay that other characters would have no way of perceiving, such as your character's private thoughts, motives, or internal monologue. Show, do not narrate the unseen. If you want to communicate inner state, use expressions, posture, action, and speech.

Content and Theme Guidelines

Keep all IC content and themes PG-13 by default. Mature content is gated by explicit, mutual consent flags:

• Engage in sexual roleplay only when you are under the private flag with other participants who are also under the private flag.
• Engage in other potentially disturbing, triggering, or otherwise mature content and themes only in Unrestricted scenes, where everyone present has opted in.

No Exploits

Do not deliberately exploit any aspect of the game design in a way that was not intended. If you discover a bug, an unintended loophole, or an economy or combat behaviour that lets you bypass normal play, report it through tickets new instead of using it.
